What is the youreel MCP server?

MCP is a standard way for an AI app to read data from a service you use. youreel runs one, so Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor and other MCP clients can read your Instagram analytics while you're chatting with them. You add one URL and sign in. There's no key to generate and nothing to paste.

How do I connect Instagram to Claude?

You connect youreel, not Instagram. Add the youreel URL as a connector in Claude, approve the screen that shows what it can read, and ask your question. Instagram stays connected to youreel alone, and Claude never sees your Instagram login or your token.

Can it post for me, or change anything?

No. Every tool is a read, and there's no write path in the code for one to use. It cannot publish, delete, reply or change a setting, and that stays true no matter what you or the AI ask it to do.

Does this work with ChatGPT?

Yes, through a custom connector. Today that needs developer mode, which is a ChatGPT Business, Enterprise or Edu feature an admin turns on. We're applying to the directories that would remove that step.

How do I disconnect an AI app?

Revoke it in Settings. It loses access within seconds rather than whenever its token happens to expire, because we re-check every request against the live session. Your data stays where it is, and you can connect the app again whenever you like.

How is this different from Metricool's or Iconosquare's MCP?

Theirs are built around managing your posting, so both can create and schedule posts. Ours only reads, and it reads something they don't have: what each post was for, and which of those purposes is actually growing you. If you want your AI to publish for you, use theirs. If you want it to tell you what's working, use ours.
